- Readyo is a practice tool: an AI interviewer asks you questions out loud and you answer by voice.
- You don't create an account with an email or a password. The app signs you in with an anonymous ID.
- We don't keep your voice recordings. Each answer is sent to Groq or AssemblyAI to be turned into text, and we don't store the audio. The interviewer's voice is generated from the text of each question by Microsoft Azure AI Speech (or, as a backup, on your iPhone). Your own voice is never sent to Microsoft.
- Your transcripts and scores are kept until you delete them in the app: Profile → Delete my data.
- Anonymous usage statistics from Google Firebase Analytics tell us how many people install and use Readyo, and whether our own ads work. We do not send your account ID, name or email with them, and we do not combine them with your Readyo account.
- No ads in the app, no advertising identifier, no camera, and we never sell your data.

We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, location or contacts. Readyo never reads your GPS or iPhone location; the approximate location in the statistics above comes from your IP address. We never use the camera. We don't infer emotions, confidence or personality from your voice: scores are based on the words of your answers and their timing only.
AI processing
Before every practice interview, the app tells you that the interviewer is an AI, not a real person, and asks for your agreement before your voice or text is sent to our AI partners. Scores are AI estimates for practice. They are not hiring decisions, and Readyo never shares them with employers.

These partners process data under their own terms. Please don't include personal details such as your name, address or phone number in your answers. Groq may keep data it processes for a limited time under its own policy.
Transfers outside your country
Our database is hosted in the European Union. Some partners (Groq, Microsoft Azure, RevenueCat, Google, OpenRouter) process data in the United States. AssemblyAI processes your recordings on its EU servers. Where the GDPR applies, these transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Legal bases (GDPR)
- Contract: to provide the practice interviews and reports you ask for, and the purchases you make.
- Consent: to send your voice and answers to our AI partners. You give it on the "Before you start" screen and can withdraw it at any time by not starting an interview and deleting your data.
- Legal obligation: to keep purchase records for accounting and tax purposes.
- Legitimate interest: to keep the service secure and prevent abuse, using technical logs that contain IDs and timings only, never transcripts or audio; and to count installs and active users and to measure our own advertising, using a random ID that carries no account ID, name or email and is not combined with your account.
What we don't do
- No ads shown in the app and no advertising-network SDKs. Google Firebase Analytics is used only for the statistics described above.
- No tracking of you across other companies' apps or websites: no advertising identifier (IDFA), no Google signals, no User-ID, and no sharing of audiences with advertisers.
- No selling or renting of your data.
- No camera, no face or emotion analysis, no voiceprints or voice cloning.
Deleting your data
In the app, go to Profile → Delete my data and confirm. This permanently deletes your interviews, transcripts, reports and your anonymous account from our database. It cannot be undone.
Deleting your data does not cancel a Pro subscription: Apple keeps billing until you cancel it in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Apple and RevenueCat keep purchase records as required by law; write to us if you want RevenueCat's record removed.
The anonymous usage statistics carry no account ID, name or email and are not combined with your account, so "Delete my data" does not remove them and we cannot look them up for you. Google deletes them on the schedule above. Deleting the app stops all collection.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw your consent. Because your account is anonymous, the fastest way to delete everything is in the app. For other requests, email us. Because we don't know who you are, we may need details from the app (such as the date of an interview) to find your data. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Children
Readyo is for job seekers and is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has used Readyo, contact us and we will delete the data.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to the database is restricted, each user can read only their own data, and API keys never ship inside the app.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above, and tell you in the app when a change affects how your voice or answers are processed.
