Where Huru is stronger
- Price. It is free for individuals. Readyo charges for interviews.
- Video practice. Recording yourself on camera is close to a video interview.
- Platforms and languages. Web, iOS and a Chrome extension, with Portuguese and German.
- Role library. More than 240 career roles to choose from.
Where Readyo is stronger
- A conversation, not a question list. The AI interviewer reacts to your answer and follows up, the way a real interviewer does.
- Arabic and Spanish for the interview and the report, alongside English and French.
- Evidence-weighted scoring. The largest weight (30 %) goes to evidence and precision, so a vague answer cannot score well.
- Pay only when you practise. A single interview costs $2.99, without a subscription.
Which should you pick?
If you are on a budget, try Huru first: it costs nothing. If you find yourself rehearsing in your head and freezing when someone talks back, a spoken, follow-up interview is the closer simulation, and that is what Readyo is for. Using both is reasonable: Huru for volume on camera, Readyo for a harder spoken round.
Not covered here: we did not test Huru ourselves, and its site does not say whether its interviewer asks live follow-up questions during the interview.
Where Readyo fits
Readyo is an iPhone app for spoken mock interviews. You paste a job ad or type a role, choose the stage, and an AI interviewer asks the questions out loud and follows up on your answers. You answer by voice and get a report that scores relevance (20 %), structure (20 %), evidence and precision (30 %), clarity and expression (15 %), and composure and ownership (15 %), with an improved version of each answer built only from what you said. The interview and the app work in English, French, Spanish and Arabic. Readyo is for practice only: it never helps during a real interview. It is free to download, and interviews are paid: a single interview, a 7-day pass, a monthly plan or Lifetime (prices checked 11 October 2026).
